Introduction
What FaidaGrow is, who uses it, and how this documentation is organised.
FaidaGrow is a rental-business platform for East Africa. It tracks the things you rent out (properties, vehicles, equipment, land), the customers who rent them, the leases between them and the money that moves, and then tells you what each asset is really earning.
Most rental tools stop at bookings and rent collection. FaidaGrow also shows profitability: revenue, expenses, maintenance cost and return on investment for every asset, and for the business as a whole.
Who uses it
- Landlords and property managers who run apartments, houses, shops and rooms.
- Vehicle and equipment rental businesses, including daily-remittance models such as boda-boda and bajaj.
- Land and plot owners who lease out land.
- Staff and tenants. Owners invite staff with limited permissions, and tenants can follow their own lease in a portal.
The shape of the product
The product follows the way a rental business actually works:
- Assets: what you own and rent out.
- Customers: who rents from you.
- Leases: the agreement between an asset and a customer, with its rate, deposit and dates.
- Payments and invoices: money in, recorded against the lease.
- Expenses and maintenance: money out.
- Reports: profitability, occupancy, collections and health scores.
What you can do
- Track assets, units inside a building, categories and documents.
- Create leases with daily, weekly or monthly rates, deposits, scheduled rate increases and late fees.
- Record cash, mobile money and bank payments, issue PDF receipts and send SMS receipts and reminders.
- Run maintenance requests from report to completion, with cost tracking.
- Record move-in and move-out inspections with photos.
- See profitability, occupancy, renewals, collections ageing and a business health score, and export reports to PDF or Excel.
- Work in English or Swahili, in TZS, KES, UGX, RWF or USD.
